Like
snow? Consider alpine, telemark, or cross country
skiing on Mount Hood, at Mount Hood Meadows, Timberline,
or Skibowl. You can also snow shoe and cross country ski
on many trails and almost anywhere there is snow.

If
hiking is your thing, choose a trail, lace up your
hiking boots, and go. In the spring wildflowers are abundant
on Catherine Creek in Washington and Tom McCall State Park
in Oregon; in the heat of the summer, Oneonta gorge will
keep you cool; watch the leaves and vegetation change in
the fall on the Old Highway/Twin Tunnels trail; a snow
shoe winter hike on Mount Adams is wonderful for solitude!
